Privacy Policy

Trove is a jewelry portfolio tracker for iPhone. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and what control you have over it. The short version: your collection is private by design, we collect only what the app needs to function, we show no ads, we run no analytics or tracking, and we never sell data.

Information we collect

Collection data — the jewelry, stones, bullion, and coins you catalog (descriptions, weights, purchase details, notes, certificates) The core function of the app: tracking and valuing your collection.
Photos you attach to items or your profile (optional) Displayed only to you, inside your account.
Subscription status Unlocking Trove Pro features. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment details.
Preferences (currency, units, theme, and similar) Stored on your device only.

What we don't do

Where your data lives

Your account and collection are stored with Supabase (our hosting, authentication, and storage provider), protected by row-level security so each account can only ever read its own data. Photos are stored in private storage reachable only by your account through short-lived signed links.

Service providers we rely on to operate the app:

Live metal and diamond market prices are fetched by our servers from market-data providers; your collection is never sent to them.

Your control

Data retention

We keep your data only while your account exists. Deleting your account removes it from our systems immediately; residual copies in encrypted backups expire on the backup provider's standard rotation schedule.

Children

Trove is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
